Banana bread is a dessert I’ve contemplated baking maybe a dozen times. I somehow always end up with one or two bananas that are way too ripe to eat, but would be perfect for a loaf of banana bread.
This past weekend, I finally put those much too ripe bananas to use and whipped up a delicious loaf of banana bread. I followed this recipe, but added a little less than half a cup of chocolate chips. Once the bread was out of the oven, I couldn’t believe I had waited this long to bake banana bread; it came out perfectly and I had it for dessert, as well as for breakfast the next morning.
