When it comes to organizing beauty products, there are two main guidelines that must be followed: the products must make your beauty routine easy and simple, and must be organized in such a way that they definitely put the beaut in beauty. How do you accomplish this? Let’s dive in!
To make your routine as simple as possible, you’ll want to make sure you have a system in place that allows you to easily grab what you need, when you need it.
Personally, I reach for the same 6-8 products during the week (tinted moisturizer, highlighter, powder, bronzer, mascara, eyebrow gel, and lip gloss), so I don’t want there to be any questions about where these items are each morning. Of course, I also have tons of eyeshadow, lipsticks, etc., but I only really wear these on special occasions or weekends, so they can be a bit more tucked away.
To distinguish between these two – those products you wear 99% of the time and those you wear far less than that – I like to use jars, old candle pots, and other pretty storage devices. Put the items you use every day in one beautiful pot, and the other items in different ones, dividing by type of product, such as lipsticks in one pot, and eyeshadows in the other.
So now you have function, simplicity, and beauty!
