Happy New Year, organizers! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and feel ready and refreshed to take on the brand new year. I, for one, am excited to get started on my goals.
A new year is the perfect time to reflect on your organizational habits and make them more of a priority. Because it can be daunting to think about every little thing that could be organized, I’ve created a little cheat sheet below for some small things to start implementing that I promise will make a huge difference.
Making the bed every day: I honestly can’t even imagine not making my bed each morning. It creates an instant feeling of accomplishment and starts the day on a nice, clean note. Need some tips on how to best make your bed? Check out my tutorial.
Cleansing your closet: If it’s been a few months since your last closet cleanse, I’d highly recommend doing another. Be sure to check out my tips before you dive in.
Keeping the air fresh: I don’t know about you, but I love to have candles burning whenever I’m home. There’s something about the combination of a delicious scent and fresh air flowing through the windows that makes me feel calm, cool, and collected.
Balance out your weekends: It can be really tempting to use weekends as a time to let completely loose, but for the most part, I try to find a balance between the former and productivity. That’s not to say that your weekends should include work by any means, but completing a few errands on a Sunday never hurt anyone. Here are my tips for finding more balance in your weekend routine.
Organize your finances: The start of a new year is such a great time to set some financial goals and boundaries for yourself. In case you need some help getting started, you can read about how I organize my finances.
