Somebody Else — The 1975
From beaches to bougainvillea, this summer has been filled with so many memorable adventures. While our trips to Santa Fe and Southern California, as well as our weekend getaway in San Francisco, were certainly the highlights, we’ve also really enjoyed staying local and soaking up the sun. I’m planning to savor every second of this last month of summer, but here are some of my favorite photos from the season thus far.
There’s nothing better than fresh flowers + a new candle in my bedroom.
A Saturday in the North Bay is my favorite kind of weekend.
This new spot in Hayes Valley is definitely worth the hype.
Stumbled upon the cutest.market.ever in Bernal Heights.
Sometimes you just have to get outdoors. And when you do, it’s always a good idea to look up!
Taking a page from one of my favorite Instagram accounts.
Blue skies and bright flowers. My favorite combination.
Already plotting my next trip back to Petaluma. Just look at those rolling hills filled with cows!
Stumbled upon this quaint shop while in Petaluma and wanted everything.
Deeming this the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen.
Now that my apartment is flooded with sunshine everyday, I’ve made some small updates to celebrate the season. Come inside to see what I’ve done, and hopefully it will inspire you to make similar updates to your space.
Is it just me, or are straw items of all varieties popping up everywhere? I’ve had this basket purse since our last trip to Mexico and it’s still one of my favorite accessories in my closet. This season, I decided to style it next to the sofa with some light blankets for those cooler summer nights.
Maybe it’s all the La Croix I’ve been drinking, but I’ve been craving a little something extra in my water these days. I sliced up some lemons and dropped them in a carafe, which seems oh-so-summery to me.
To remind me to celebrate the season through my wardrobe as well, I’ve got my favorite dresses hanging from the back of my closet. Oh, and there’s that straw trend again.
Last but definitely not least, I’ve got lots of bright flowers sprinkled throughout my apartment. It just wouldn’t be summer without them!
It’s here, it’s here! Summer is officially here! (Seriously, the official day of Summer was two days ago so we’re in the clear to bust out all of our Summer essentials.) In addition to a healthy layer of sunscreen, here’s what I’ll be wearing all season long.
P.S. Check out what I wore last Summer here.
Last Summer, I took the time to write down everything I wanted to do that season and I must say, I absolutely loved it. It can seem a little daunting to sit down and reflect on everything you’d like to see and do, but it’s all worth it once you’ve made your list.
Just think: when you’re bored on the couch wondering what you should do for the day, you’ll already have a list of great ideas to pursue. How handy is that?
So without further adieu, here’s what made it on this year’s Summer to-do list.
